Introducing On-Site Camping Gear Rental Partner Arrive Outdoors

DIY Tips, Events, Safety, SponsorsAshmore Ellis

For many riders, camping off the bike is still very new (and that’s ok!). It took me years to dial in my camping kit and learn how to safely pack it on the back of my motorcycle efficiently. For those novice moto campers, or those who have old outdated gear, or don’t want to bother with packing all their crap, we decided to partner with a quality outdoor rental company, Arrive, that rents all sorts of camping gear and will be on site to distribute it to you when you…well… arrive. Make sure to reserve your gear early cause they will sell out of many of the tents, sleeping bags, pads, camp chairs….you get the picture.

How do I reserve my gear to be on site to pick up when I arrive?

When you order gear from Arrive, use code “BRO” at checkout and choose warehouse pickup. You’ll see the Arrive booth upon entering the gates for the event. All you need to do is bring your ID to their tent , after you are parked in your zone, and pick up your items! Please note that you are responsible for setting up, breaking down, and of course returning rental gear to their booth by 10:00AM Sunday morning.

Click HERE to get started as all items must be pre-booked through their website prior to the event.

Now you can travel to the Central Coast without all your camping gear strapped to the back of your motorcycle (which can be pretty dangerous if you’ve never packed your gear before and tested it out. You’d be amazed how quickly items shake out and into your power band which causes an immediate HALT ( not fun)).

About Arrive

A little about our partner - Arrive is an outdoor experience company that is transforming the outdoor industry into an easier and more sustainable model. The main goal of Arrive is to help people experience the outdoors without the burden of buying, cleaning and storing gear. Arrive partners directly with over 40 premium outdoor gear brands to offer their gear for rent, everything from tents and sleeping bags to stoves, headlamps, and blankets! If you have any questions about what you’ll need at Babes Ride Out, just give them a call at 213 534-8852.

That is AWESOME and we’d love to hear more! Babes Ride Out is a private event and we do the best we can not to distract our guests so they can have the best time possible. If you want to shoot the event in any way for a media source, a brand, or other non-personal use, please email press@babesrideout.com for permission as no commercial photography or video of any kind is allowed unless approved by BRO. What are my transport/parking options at the event?

Motorcycles will be in one section and cars, trucks, trailers, & RVs in another. No vehicles will be allowed to enter motorcycle camping for safety reasons but you can easily walk over camping gear if you are hauling it for a friend. Camping and parking for all vehicles will be first come first serve and will be managed by our parking attendants. There will be dedicated staff to lead you into the area once you arrive and show you were to set up in rows to ensure roads are not obstructed. RVs will be stacked as they arrive, no spot holding or dedicated spot #s, thanks for your understanding on this to ensure everyone gets in safely and efficiently. We suggest arriving with the people you want to camp next to.

I don't ride yet / I don't have my license / am a new rider / scared to come / coming solo / losing it cause I am a ball of nerves and I need you to walk me through this cause I am about to throw up!

Girrrrrrllll, we have ALL been there! Listen, this event started as 50 ladies not knowing each other and has turned into a global movement. Why? Cause it's such a laid back, fun, and welcoming community. We offer car passes to purchase along with your general admission to those who are not riders yet or are new to riding and unsure they feel ready to make the trek. On site, there will be activities for you to participate in that are moto related even if you never sat on a bike before (stay tuned for info on that!). If you want to connect to others who are coming, click HERE and it will take you to the official facebook event page for this particular event that serves as a forum to converse with others. If you are driving, the best way to be a hero is posting that you'd be happy to meet a group of riders and be their chase / haul supplies! No one is more grateful than a motorcyclist with a chase :)

Can my husband, boyfriend, son set up my stuff and leave?

No un-ticketed guests are allowed into the event space. If you can’t set it up yourself or are willing to learn by the time the event takes place, please leave your rig at home or rent one of the units on site.

What ticket and passes do I buy? Looks kinda confusing!

No problem! We can break this down easily for you :)

  • GENERAL ADMISSION - NON-REFUNDABLE- This IS a ticket to the event and every attendee must have one to enter the property.

  • CAR PARKING - NON-REFUNDABLE- This is NOT a ticket to the event. Each car or truck must purchase this parking pass for their 4-wheel vehicle to park on the property during the event. Make sure that you and all of your passengers have a GENERAL ADMISSION - NON-REFUNDABLE ticket to the event as these are not sold at the door.

  • CAR +TRAILER x TOY HAULER x RV PARKING (NO HOOKUPS) - NON-REFUNDABLE: This is NOT a ticket to the event. Towing anything, have a RV, toy hauler, trailer, renting one of the RVS on the property already? You need this pass as your towing set up, rig, or rented rig takes up considerable room on the property. Make sure that you and all of your passengers / trailer guests have a GENERAL ADMISSION - NON-REFUNDABLE ticket to the event as these are not sold at the door.

**There are no day passes or discount passes if you are not staying on the property. We have to pay for the space and amenities no matter if you stay there an hour or the full weekend**

Please email info@babesrideout.com if you have any questions. We do encourage you to ride your own moto to the event to save in costs but understand that is not always an option.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring everything you need to be comfortable camping under the stars! We will have a suggested packing list posting soon with tips and tricks on how to safely pack your moto.

Please do not bring: outside alcohol (this is a rule of the property) people who did not buy a ticket, boyfriends, husbands, animals, kids, signs/banners, eazy ups (sorry! it obstructs the natural beauty of the camp and it is far too windy), fireworks, items to vend, handouts like stickers, buttons, flyers as we end up spending hours picking up these items off the desert floor. Leave no trace :) Our security will be on patrol so please be kind when they ask you to put these items away or ask your uninvited "friend" to leave. The last thing we want to do is be difficult but we want EVERYONE to have fun, not just you :)

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. We go off the pre printed guest list as printed tickets are not honored at the gate. Simply bring your ID.

What is the refund policy?

100% NO REFUNDS under no circumstance as this is a self-funded event.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

No. The name on the ticket MUST match your ID. You can buy a ticket for a friend but make sure the ticket is in their name or show up together so you can collect both and hand off to the other ticket(s) to your friend. No nicknames on tickets, we have 0 idea who “Full Throttle Frieda” is.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Welcome to the Central Coast

Welcome to the Central Coast! We are so excited for a new adventure. Let us tell you a little about this magical place and some of the unique things to experience in the area. The actual town that our event will be held in is called Santa Margarita, California. It is nestled in the heart of San Luis Obispo County which is part of the greater area known as the Central Coast.

Half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco, this area of California still has an un-touched charm about it and countless awesome roads to ride. The area is well known for its cattle ranches,  wineries and breweries but that does not even begin to tell the story of this amzing place.

The event space is located right off of the 101 freeway making it super easy to find. When you arrive on site you will feel like you have set foot on an 18th century ranch. That’s because you have! Our new home is a 14,000 acre working cattle ranch complete with a mission era barn regarded as the first stone-and-mortar structure built in California. The Ranch is located right on the historic El Camino Real; a 600 mile mission trail connecting the states 21 missions.

What makes this place so special? Well… in 30 minutes you can be on the beach, at the 805 brewery or down a perfectly windy road and arriving at a historic saloon/café. In 40 minutes you can be at a lavish castle or in the pismo beach sand dunes. In 1 hour you can be on your way to Big Sur and riding the world famous stretch of HWY 1. The area is so rich in so many ways! We will have some amazing routes curated for you!

Looking for some fun routes to get there from the South? Check out these options:

·     GRAPE VINE BACK ROADS

·     COAST TO CACHUMA PASS

·     ROUND ABOUT WAY

We have personally ridden each of these routes and they are all a blast and full of fun twisty back roads and beautiful scenery!

Coming from the North? We recommend riding the Coast Highway all the way down!

·     HIGHWAY 1

Headed out from the East? Take one of these two highways to enjoy the back roads in to camp!

·     HIGHWAY 58

·     HIGHWAY 41

What kind of cool stuff is there to see on the central coast? Oh man the list is long but we will highlight a few:

·     Morro Bay/ Morro Rock

·     Montana De Oro

·     805 Brewery

·     Pozo Saloon

·     Hearst Castle

·     Big Sur

·     Elfin Forrest

·     Pismo Beach/ Oceano Dunes

·     Franklin Hot Springs

·     Zip Lining

·     Bishops Peak Hike

·     Avila Beach

·     Lopez Lake

·     Surfing Cayucos

·     Nacimiento Lake

All of these will be featured in the months leading up to the event along with our curated day routes.

Why did we move the event from Joshua Tree? We will forever love Joshua Tree and that beautiful place is not going anywhere. We were ready for a new adventure and could not resist the beautiful central coast!

What is different about the event? Same vibes just in a new location to start! We have plenty of room for camping with all the same amenities + more.  We are thrilled to bring in all the fun activities but in a gorgeous new setting with all new roads to ride. To learn more, cruise the ticket page.

Babes Ride Out East Coast 4 x All You Need to Know

Event InfoAshmore Ellis

We can’t wait to host you this weekend at Babes Ride Out East Coast 4! 99 % of info can be found on the Babes Ride Out East Coast 4 ticket page and on our website babesrideout.com. This event is rain or shine so come ready and check the local weather day of your ride as weather shifts quickly in the area.

At this time, all ticket sales and transfers are closed and we’ve gone to print. If you missed out on registering or transferring a ticket to another guest, we are truly sorry! We go off our list, not printed tickets, as some ladies got crafty last year 😊  Thanks for respecting the process.

1. Gates are at Friday 11AM sharp, no early birds please!

2. You will need your ID stating you are over 21 and it must match the name we have on our printed registry to hand you the ticket(s) in your name.

3. When you arrive, you'll be flagged into registration. You will get a wrist band, bike band, and sign waiver before you enter the campgrounds. There are no assigned spots but we have plenty of room for everyone within our rented space. Cars will be in one section, motos in another (but not too far of course!)

4. If you feel uncomfortable for any reason, have bike issues, not confident in your ability on two wheels yet, please drive! We will have car passes on site for cash purchase for any registered ticket holder who is a motorcyclist & decides to drive instead of ride. No need to switch “ticket” type or email us with your change of plans.

RULES AND REGS

HELMETS ON AT ALL TIMES. This is a rule that is not only ours, but the campsites as well. Anyone caught riding without a helmet on the property, hot dogging or doing burn outs will be asked to leave. Thank you sooo much for your cooperation here! NO DRINKING AND RIDING.

 WHAT YOU CAN BRING:

Feel free to bring your own food for cooking (but we have a delicious food truck on site), alcohol, whatever you like to help make your weekend more comfortable! The camp store sells wood and we will have group fires near the pavilion for you to enjoy.

The township of Narrowsburg is within walking distance and has gas, ATMS, grocery store, ice cream, restaurants, a really cool bar at the Narrowsburg Inn (HIGHLY recommend checking out, built in the 1840's, was a speakeasy & brothel during the prohibition....and haunted).

The campsite has a fully stock camp store with everything you want, need, and may have forgotten to pack.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING: ladies who did not buy a ticket (wristbands will be checked this year every time you re-enter the grounds), boyfriends, husbands, animals, kids, weapons of any kind (firearms, hatchets, bow and arrows, slingshots, BB guns, or anything that can be used as a weapon), no signs/banners, no eazy ups (sorry! it obstructs the natural beauty of the camp) no fireworks, no items to vend or handouts like stickers, buttons, flyers as we end up spending hours picking up these up as 99% of it gets trashed. Leave no trace :) Our security will be on patrol so please be kind when they ask you to put these items away or ask you and your uninvited "friend" to leave. Sadly, these rules are in place for a reason but will be enforced to ensure EVERYONE has a great time!

Need more info? Please re-visit the ticket page by clicking HERE as there are several helpful links such as “What to Pack”, “Schedule of Events”, “Food Truck Menu and Pricing” , “Best Riding Routes in the Area” and so much more. If you still have more questions, simply wait until you get on site as all those extra tiny details of what fauna is in the area, how strong is the coffee and more will be answered there :)

Ride safe ladies! Enjoy the journey and we will have an ice cold 805 beer waiting for you Friday night! - Babes Ride Out
