Haunted History is Just Steps Away | Babes Ride Out East Coast 3

Located in the beautiful Delaware River hamlet of Narrowsburg, New York, the Narrowsburg Inn is the oldest continuously operated inn of its type in New York State. The 163-years old inn, which was a stagecoach stop in the days before the Civil War still has it's original clapboard look. The Inn was initially built to serve coach travelers on the Mount Hope and Lumberland turnpike. It later served raftsman bringing wood down the Delaware during the early building stages of Philadelphia. It has served as a stopping off place for Erie Railroad travelers and for those seeking refuge (as well as loose women and booze) from the heat and humidity of New York City.

Not much has changed but the names & owners. Narrowsburg Inn, then known as Century Hotel.

This hotel & restaurant is very much haunted. While your visiting Babes Ride Out East Coast 3, make sure to walk over for a cold beer after the bikes are parked and ask the owner, Alison Brown about whom walks the halls at night. If you're lucky, she will show you the brothel rooms in the attic but beware, once you cross the threshold, your subject to the spirits that are bound to it.

Salvation Mountain is a literal man-made mountain 28 years in the making, covered in half a million gallons of latex paint. What started as a small monument made of dirt and painted cement became, over time, a sprawling adobe and hay-bale mountain complex, with peripheral structures made of telephone poles, tires, and car windows, as well as art cars and sculptures, all painted in a patchwork of stripes and color blocks of whatever paint was donated that week.— Aaron Huey, National Geographic
