How slow can you go?

Racers line up a the starting line and when the flag goes up each racer has to go as slow as they can on their bike without putting a foot down. Whoever reaches the finish line last without putting a foot down wins!!!

Two-up Relay

each rider grabs a passenger. There are 2 cones on the course. The first cone has an egg on top of it and the 2nd cone does not. The riders have to weave between the cones while the passenger grabs the egg off the first cone and sets it on top of the 2nd cone without breaking it. First team to cross the finish line without cracking the egg wins.

Barrel Race

Riders start with a metal barrel at their front tire. When the flag goes up you hit the throttle and the first rider across the finish line with the barrel and without touching the ground with your feet wins. The goal is to keep the barrel running straight so you don’t swerve off the course.

Welcome to the World famous "Joshua Tree Astronomy Arts Theater" where we share the adventure of exploring our Cosmos through some of the most powerful astronomical equipment and technology available.

JTAAT is the World's one and only live deep space astronomy theater where the images we capture live have been called "Hubble like "!

Visitors will see Galaxies, Nebulae, Stars and Planets projected on to our giant 24 foot screen as we tour the night sky searching for deep space wonders.

Our powerful visual telescopes will be available to bring images of amazement to everyone. If you have never seen the Rings of Saturn with your own eyes, get ready!

We will tour the beautiful Joshua Tree night sky pointing out the constellations of the Zodiac and add stories of Mythology as we share the science and lore of the stars.

Westside Moto Academy Motorcycle Safety Demo's at BRO6

Events, SafetyAnya Violet

We are excited to announce that Westside Moto Academy will be joining us at Babes Ride Out 6 this year! With decades of experience as professional riding instructors this women owned academy will be there to give pointers on technique and provide education that will help to keep you safe on the road. Make sure and stop by their booth this year to learn more.

ALSO Click HERE to learn about a safety refresher course they are offering leading up to the event.

Check out some of the topics they will be covering at their booth. Are you new to riding? Make sure you stop by and ask any questions you have that might help your technique!

#1

·       Topic:  Alcohol and Motorcycling

·       Activity: Fatal Vision Alcohol Goggles.

Each participant will be asked to perform very simple, every day tasks, such as walking, picking up keys, touching an object, tossing a ball into a can, etc.  The participant will be asked to perform the same tasks, only now with the Fatal Vision Alcohol Goggles.  These patented goggles allow participants to experience with a sober mind what it’s like to be under the influence of alcohol. They are designed to simulate a person’s reaction, balance, and coordination if that person had a B.A.C. level of .07 to 10.00 (the equivalent of 2-3 drinks in 1 hour).

#2

·       Topic: What’s on your motorcycle mind?

·       Activity: Q&A with the ladies of WMA

Using index cards, we’ll ask participants to ask any motorcycle question and put it in a box.  We’ll pick a card at the beginning and end of every night, and the author of the question we choose will win a prize.

#3

·       Topic: Conspicuity “Being Seen”

·       Activity: Hi Vis Vest Demo

Since research shows that “being seen, not heard” reduces motorcycle collisions, Erika will demonstrate the need for wearing a retroreflective vest at night.  These vests will be given out for FREE to those who will commit to wearing one.  Please Note: These vests are light weight and can be easily stored and hidden in one’s tank bag or crumpled up and stored in a back pocket, so GOD FORBID no one sees you once you’re off your bike and have arrived at your destination 😉

The Real Deal Bike Show at Babes Ride Out 6

EventsAnya Violet

Babes! It’s time to spit shine your bike, install those cool parts you’ve always wanted, maybe even give her a fresh paint job, and sign up to show off your motorcycle at Babes Ride Out 6. We are excited to be hosting the Real Deal bike show again this year and cannot wait to see all the awesome motorcycles roll in! Read on to get the low down on how to enter.

babes ride out

Last year at BRO5 we had 40 babes sign up for the inaugural RealDeal Bike show. Some would say that was a stellar turn out for the first year. We tried it again at Babes Ride East and the custom bikes were outstanding, practically toppling the west coast. This year for BRO6 we are anticipating a TON of bikes entering to win hand made trophies built by you Renegades partaking in the RealDeal Workshoppes on-site at the event.

Lucky you, we’ve changed the process just a tad. We are now opening the voting to EVERYONE for best Chopper, Modern and Vintage!  As a bonus, we will still have the coveted “RealDeal Choice” award, judged by the pros themselves. On Oct 19, Friday afternoon, bikes will be lined up from 5pm - 8pm for your pretty eyes to choose the fanciest of them all. Votes will be tallied and winners will be announced on stage at 9pm that evening. Swing by the RealDeal booth to sign up and to vote.

You see, there is an epidemic in this world and it’s leading to the disconnect of the tangible things that bring pure joy and empowerment to life. It’s RealDeal's mission to make the trades sexy again; to show babes it’s ok to pick up tools and get their hands dirty. To create and build anything they dream up. To grow confidence through skills and hands-on experience. To create comfortable working environments with no judgements, intimidation or stereotypes.

babes ride out

Let’s put these skills to use on your own custom creations. The more bikes we have here at Babes, the more showing up at other-not-so-female-oriented-bike shows too…. and then we will take over the world! Time for a Revolution.

For those who are entering, come talk to us at the Real Deal booth on site to sign up. Please, no later than 4:30 pm Friday. We look forward to seeing you and the creativity you put into your bikes!!

Looking for Adventure? We've Got You Covered! Explore Some of Our Favorite Riding Routes During Babes Ride Out 6 via Biltwell Inc.

Events, Riding Routes, SponsorsAshmore Ellis

Babes Ride Out has always been and always will be a riding event. Nothing makes us happier than to see camp empty out and our Instagram bursting at the seams with ladies tagging us during their adventures and taking in all the beautiful sites the area has to offer.  As we near the event, we will be posting some of our favorite places to ride to that are completely surreal. First up on that  list is Salvation Mountain....

Salvation Mountain

  • 5.5 hours + gas & food stops
  • 248 miles round trip
  • Click HERE to download the route and plan your gas stops
  • Note this route takes you through Joshua Tree Park ($12 per moto but pass is good for 7 days so you can hit this route and do the entire state park the next day or so!)
  • HOT TIP: Since this route starts and ends with a rip through the state park, time it right and hit an insane sunset on the way back from the day trip. Nothing is more beautiful.
  • Salton Sea is to simply put "NUTS!" Take time to get off the bike and explore the history, the fish bones, the sulfur smell....ahhhh!
  • Salvation Mountain is magical. No words can describe it's uniqueness, you gotta see it to believe it!
  • Ever seen the movie Salton Sea with Val Kilmer? Filmed here
  • International Banana Museum. Self explanatory (thanks for the heads up Ace!)
  • East Jesus is a must see for art installations and the Bottle Wall
  • Slab City aka "the last free place on earth" ...no words. Part of the movie Into the Wild was filmed here.

This is definitely the longest of the route options but so worth it. We recommend getting an early start for this one. This amazing art installation out in the desert will blow your mind! There is simply nothing like Salvation Mountain anywhere in the world.

History

Salvation Mountain is an eye-popping burst of color in the Imperial Valley desert two hours east of San Diego. Leonard Knight started building Salvation Mountain in the early 80s. Armed with half of a bag of cement, Leonard fashioned a small monument. One thing turned into another - days turned into weeks and weeks turned into years. Each day, Leonard would put a little more cement and a little more paint on the side of a forgotten riverbank.

"I was just going to stay one week. It's been a very good week" L.Knight 1996

As his monument grew taller and taller, he would pack old junk he found at the dump onto the side of his "mountain," fill it with sand and cover it with cement and paint. As cement was hard to come by, he would mix a lot of (too much) sand with it. Leonard's mountain grew and grew - 30, 40, 50 feet and more. It was the same familiar patchwork of colors emblazoned with a big red "God Is Love" on a white background. Below that was the Sinners Prayer and a red heart. It was quite a spectacle out there in the middle of nowhere.  Leonard estimates that he has put well over 100,000 gallons of paint on his mountain.
