What first got you into art?
I’ve been drawing as long as I can remember. But I guess I can really remember finding some of my uncles sketch books at my grandmas house when I was a kid and I just tried to mimic what I saw. He was an amazing artist! From that point I was hooked, I loved cartoons so I would try to draw them. Then I saw the movie Beat Street, and a graffiti art book and that’s where my love of letters started. My friends would have me put their names on their backpacks, hats, and casts (Robbie always had a broken wrist, LOL). My love of skateboarding kinda got me into making designs where I could incorporate both letters and cartoons.

How would you describe your style?
I’m not really sure, I just draw what I feel. If you had to put a pin on it I’d say graffiti with a classic twist. Fuck, I dunno. I just literally put a pencil to the paper or helmet or tank and see what happens most of the time. Lol, I’m not a big planner. I mean I have ideas, but I just go.

What inspires you? Have any artists in particular been an influence on you?
My family, my wife and kids. Geez, I like a lot of people’s stuff, like, Sonny Boy, Mr.Oz, CenterRoots, Lumpy, god there are so many! I’m just amazed at the amount of rad shit they put out on a daily! But that’s just in this lettering and pinstriping field. The list would be crazy long, I dig so much stuff that I see. I guess I just like seeing what people create.

What is your favorite medium?
Pencil.

When did you first hear about Babes Ride Out?
When my wife told me that she was going to it 3 years ago.

What is your connection to the motorcycle community?

Well, I ride a motorcycle. Lol. I’m lucky enough to get to paint on some of them sometimes, and I get to paint on the helmets that others wear when they ride them.

Do you ride? If so, what do you ride?
Yes. I ride a 2003 HD FXDL. Her name is Jazzy.lol

If you were a motorcycle what kind would you be?
Haha, probably a 2003 HD FXDL..Cuz, it’s old, loud, fast, and completely Broke all the time. Lol

Have you ever been to Joshua Tree? What was your experience there?
Yup, I had a really cool time there with some friends and my wife a few years ago on a ride for my birthday. Never got to spend much time there other than that.

What will you be contributing to this years raffle?
 I’m doing a Biltwell gringo S helmet.

Tell us about what inspired you to create it?
I just wanted to make something cool so it can raise some money to help out M.O.T.O. Fam cuz I love what Mitch and her friends are doing for this this community. 👍🏽
