The Babes Ride Out Artist series showcases the art of talented people in our community. Each piece is donated to the Moto F.A.M. X Babes Ride Out raffle. Moto F.A.M.  is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping riders facing life changing injuries after a serious motorcycle accident. Meet Ana Vivian! She has hand painted an Atwyld Jacket for BRO East Coast 3 raffle. Read on to get to know more about Ana!

My name is Ana Vivian and I run a brand called Chasing Wolves.

I was born and raised in Albania where I went to school for music and art as a young kid. Art has always been a huge part of my life but I was never a disciplined artist. It wasn’t until I went to college for Psychology and Art that I really started focusing on specific mediums, taking classes from live drawing, to sculpture, photography and painting. I drew inspiration from Francesca Woodman’s self portraits on film, Wassily Kandinsky’s chaotic abstract paintings and Albretch Durer’s woodcuts. Today when I photograph I focus on portraits, my paintings are abstract but the geometry is structured and Chasing Wolves has a life of its own.

When I started Chasing Wolves, I wanted it to have a specific aesthetic, a clean but goth feel to it. It’s a fun project where I am free to let my mind wonder and create content inspired by my favorite bands, films and sci if shows. For Chasing Wolves I screen print patches, make enamel pins, bolo ties, bandanas, paint on jackets and motorcycle helmets, but not limiting myself to just that. The imagery is dark and you’ll see lots of snakes, moths and daggers in my products.

This is my second year creating for the Babes Ride Out, Moto Fam raffle prize. I found out about BRO through their instagram’s call for artists last year and immediately wanted to be part of it. I am beyond ecstatic to be creating a second piece which is inspired by Art Nouveau paintings and gothic architecture. In it there are elements of vulnerability and determination (the moths) and rebirth (the snake).

While I do not ride yet, this summer I finally get to learn. My boyfriend got a project bike we are working on and I can’t wait to get it started. It’s a Suzuki Savage 650.

I currently reside in NYC with my two cats, Bisou and Casanova, where I have a day job, run my brand, take Polaroids and make large abstract paintings.
