Embracing the pioneering spirit means breaking down stereotypes, stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new, so when Babes in the Dirt started their all-ladies campout in the desert, the brand that has been “Pioneering Since 1903” Husqvarna Motorcycles didn’t hesitate to jump on board!
The Husqvarna Motorcycles pioneering spirit was born in Huskvarna Sweden in the year 1903. The motorized bicycle of 1903 spurred a legendary journey that continues today and earns Husqvarna Motorcycles the bragging rights of being the world’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer with uninterrupted production. The 1930’s were witness to several road racing victories imprinting Husqvarna Motorcycles in the street riding and racing worlds.
1953 saw the dawn of off-road motorcycling, and by 1955 the first purpose-built off-road bike, the iconic Silverpilen (Silver Arrow in Swedish) was created. The Silverpilen was the first purpose-built off-road Husqvarna motorcycle and set the standard as one of the most revolutionary bikes of its time. The inspiring journey of Husqvarna continued throughout the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s leading up to one of its most pioneering endeavors to this day; Husqvarna Motorcycles brought the sport of motocross to North America. Several MX and Off road titles later, Pierer Industries AG purchased Husqvarna Motorcycles and embraced the Husqvarna Motorcycles brand values ensuring that it would always pay tribute to its Swedish Roots, be Premium in nature, and embrace the Pioneering spirit. The brand promise of Husqvarna Motorcycles is “Pioneering Since 1903”. It is through this promise that Husqvarna continues to encourage a pioneering culture that embraces the individuality and spirit of the motorcycle rider, and aims to put a new spin on motorcycling.
Husqvarna Motorcycles is excited to continue to support Babes Ride Out for the third year running at Babes In The Dirt 3. Partnering with Babes Ride out for Babes in the Dirt fulfills one of Husqvarna Motorcycles pioneering initiatives to be at the forefront of women’s motorcycling and establish a supportive community of motorcycle riders on and off the road. Here’s to all of the #womenwhoride and to everyone who holds the motorcycling spirit within their hearts!
