My name is Christina (aka Tina) Platis and I'm from Long Beach, CA.

What is your website or Instagram handle?

Website- www.christinaplatis.com IG- @tattoosbytina

Where are you currently working?

Currently working at Yer Cheat'n Heart in Gardena and Still Life Tattoo in Seal Beach.

How long have you been tattooing?

About 5 years.

What inspires you as an artist?

Creating new and exciting work can be challenging when you do it every day. Knowing that there are endless possibilities when it comes to making art can be inspiring, so I try not to forget that.

How would you describe your style?

American traditional inspired tattoos.

What is your favorite thing to tattoo?

I love doing roses and girl heads, but I'm happy to tattoo anything if it is my original work. Infinity signs and silhouettes of birds can get old.

What is your favorite tattoo on your own body?

That's always changing, but I'd say my favorite is the black and grey portrait I have of my grandparents on my arm. My good friend Reuster is the man if you want a portrait that looks even better than the photo.

How did you get involved with BRO/the motorcycle community?

I blame my friends! No but really, it was always an interest of mine. Life's too short to not experience riding a motorcycle.

Will you be riding to the event? If so, what will you be riding?

Yes, I plan on riding my 1997 Harley 883XL.

Tell us about your experience tattooing last year at BRO4? Any memorable moments?

We spend most of our time tattooing, since there are so many girls who sign up, but I always try to get a couple good rides in with my Long Beach crew.

One of the best moments was during the raffle, when we picked the winner of the helmet I painted. We were both stoked!

What do you look forward to for this years event?

Getting some good riding in before we start tattooing. Oh and sleeping in a bed :) Making tattoos in the desert is exhausting, y'all!

I work at Old Towne Tattoo Parlor in Old Towne Orange, Ca.

How long have you been tattooing?
I've been tattooing for almost 3 years.

What inspires you as an artist?
I get a lot of inspiration from vintage photography, postcards, and all visual artistry from way back when. I also get very inspired from the guys and girls I work with at the tattoo shop and my peers I've worked with and met over the past few years.

How would you describe your style?
My style is traditional.

What is your favorite thing to tattoo?
Right now I'm getting into some fine line traditional stuff, stuff that will still look good many years from now, and I'm always down for some bad ass snakes and daggers, but girl heads are my absolute favorite. They're just so much fun to tattoo!

What is your favorite tattoo on your own body?
That's a tough one! Man I do love the eagle that my friend Goonies did across my back. There's nothing like catching a glimpse a sick eagle tattoo that's taking over a big portion of your body to get you pumped in the morning.

How did you get involved with BRO/the motorcycle community?
Mainly through my fiancé Chris, he's introduced me to the raddest and most humble and talented painters, builders, and visionaries in the business and of course that spirals into organically meeting all the wonderful guys and gals that enjoy the ride and bring people together to do it.

Will you be riding to the event? If so, what will you be riding?
Absolutely! Tina and I have matching red late 90s Sportsters, so I obviously gotta ride that!

So much fun!  Didnt know anyone last year, only knew Christina through insta so it was a trip coming to meet up with a bunch of ladies but they were all super cool and nice as fuck!
Now im connected with them and have made some cool friends i wouldn't have other wise!  One thing i really liked was learning about some of the ladies that came to the event by
tattooing them. One lady rode all the way from Arizona by herself to come and didn't know anyone. BADASS.  Some other ladies rode from Denver and camped along the way. Got really inspired to have more adventures by meeting so many badass ladies all in one spot!

What do you look forward to at this year's event?
Looking forward to getting there on time this year, doing more fun tats,
seeing some ladies that I got to tattoo last year and hopefully seeing even more ladies than last year got inspired to join us!
