Babes Ride Out Artist Series highlights the talented people in our community. Every artist donates their time and creativity to create a custom piece for the BRO5 Raffle. We are so happy to be able to support Moto F.A.M. through the proceeds of the raffle each year. Moto FAM raises funds for riders that have been hurt in a motorcycle related accident, or the family of a fallen rider. Thank you so much to Biltwell for contributing the helmets for the Artist Series this year!
Meet Katie Beasley!
Hey-O! I’m Katie Beasley, originally from Portland, Oregon and still living in Portland, Oregon. Portland is filled with creative people, but I never would have been one of them, myself, unless my childhood best friend, Taylor (www.taylorpartee.com) forced me to draw with her, rather than watch tv or play video games. Now I’m a Graphic Designer and Lettering artist, so stoked that I get to create everyday for a living.
My favorite things to mess with are letters. I love to draw letterforms, play with how they can interact with each other, or how they can be jostled, shifted or warped. Drawing with ink and paper is an awesome way for me to step away from the computer, and make things with my hands.
I’m madly inspired by those around me that are making rad works themselves, and always look to my stepdad for creative advice and wisdom. Collaboration, communication and critique spark inspiration on the daily.
I’m really excited to customize a Vintage White Biltwell Gringo helmet for the raffle this year. I’m going to throw some typographic flair on it for the babes out there.
