In true “run what ya brung" fashion their were some bikes out there older than my grandpa! The track was nice and muddy which made for some really great fish tailing out of the corners and mud caked goggles! This track was such a nice surprise as Milestone is always changing it up. With lots of fun tabletops, high burms and just the right amount of mud bogs this made for a really fun course.  Us ladies were up first.. ya know because… “ladies first”. It was so great to see so many “new to dirt” riders out there. Hell on Wheels is such a fun race to come watch but it is much more fun to get out there on whatever contraption has a working motor and just have a good time chasing your friends around.  The line up consisted of some H.O.W. vets like @tamararaye to first timers like @buildarocket13 and @scoops1978 !

I was excited to race with my good friend Amber from @dirtygirlsproject as she is one of those rippin’ babes that always gives you a run for your money.

I was practicing taking the inside of the turns which is really just not my jam. I like to take it high and fast around the top of the burm and Amber always gets me on the inside. True to form the insides of the turns and I were just not getting along and after grabbing the whole-shot we had a quick battle through the mud bog before Amber took the lead in the first moto and she was gone gone gone hahaha. The second moto was a bit more of a battle. Amber got the whole-shot then I passed her off the first table top and we went side by side into the mud! I held her off through the right hander and over the back 2 jumps. We barreled down the straight away and after a big table top we entered the tight left and a sweeping right which I (of course) took the outside and Amber took the inside. I enjoy choosing different lines on the track to see which one is fastest for me. Clearly I need to work on taking the inside and taking it fast. She pulled ahead as we went over the last jump and rounded the big right hand that pulled back to where the finish line is. She was right ahead of me as she dumps it in the mud bog and I pass her up. But right as I head over the next jump I can see that she is already back up and right on my ass again. We toss it back and forth for a lap before she takes me on the inside yet again and crossed the finish! Nothing but fun and high fives as we pull back into the pits sweaty and covered in mud!
